Good luck with this ! To be blunt, you should stock the Oculus Rift instead because for £70 more you would get :-

a) no need to pay for any vr adult content if you don't want to, terrabytes of free vr out there already

b) 32gb space is nothing really, as good vr movies are 6-7gb+ each

c) You get the added bonus of all the vr games you can shake a stick at, unless this headset can play games too ? Not sure about that !

I personally don't think this will take off, maybe i'll be wrong !

Please take this as constructive criticism, not a personal attack !

Also note that 1080p sounds fine until you realise VR effectively splits this is in half, plus most implementations require further image cropping (unused pixels around the outside). Don't expect it to look too great.

I guess at £180 it's fairly cheap, and you get what you pay for, but as someone browsing the site, I'd at least want to know what I'm getting, rather than some vague marketing material.

The FOV is 117 degrees. The videos are 180 and not 360 so the FOV is not an issue.

The preloaded content as well as the content on the store is 180. This is currently the industry standard for adult VR

If it's 1080p per eye, not bad, but if it's 1080p total, that's not great quality in VR. Anything under 2K you will notice quality drops. 180deg are popular, but adult vr has a LOT of 360 deg content. 90hz refresh rate is standard and anything below you will start to get pixelated images and lag. Rift and Vive so far are the only solutions for vr content worthy of the price tags. This "porn vr" headset, sorry to say, and again, no offence, is a marketing gimmick and will not stand the test of time. It says it comes with content form badoing, vrbangers etc ? They will be loaded with the lower resolution movies, as most now are shot in 4K.
Will be testing the vive pro soon, but this is one BIG mistake from vive that will bite them in the bum !

Oculus Rift vs VRotica
The Oculus Rift needs at least £400 computer to run on also.

As with all media there are terrabytes free everywhere, the VRotica is making it incredibly easy to experience adult VR from a hardware and a user experience standpoint.

Movies on the VRotica platform are between 1.5GB and 2.2 GB each

Interactive Games
Not currently but interactive games are in the pipeline.

My view, is some may say they think the screen resolution is not good enough, others may think the opposite. When VRotica was developing the product spent much time to research the market and found the resolution they have to be sufficient and so far neither any of the users nor any trade partners have disagreed. The product is innovative and significant because it is making it incredibly easy to experience porn in VR, just one button to turn it on, just one button to navigate the screens, no phones, no cables, no computers.

Tech sheets are too small to read :/ Nowadays, most people have a vr ready computer, and if they don't, i can imagine they would rather spend the money upgrading their pc than on the one headset. There are already a number of interactive vr games adult and non adult on the rift and vive.
The content on VRotica will come nowhere close to the amount available free from other sources. I imagine if you want more content on the VRotica you would have to pay a fee for each download, or a subscription to the sites that supply ?
A 2gb vr movie is actually likely to be of 720p resolution or lower. I'm sure you will sell a few, but in the long run, it will not be a seller. Again, i may be totally wrong. You should get a few rifts for vr ready customers and sell for about £320-£335. I bet you'll sell them before the other ;) No i won't bet my doll :P

Exactly this.

The Rift is going to be superior in almost every way as its designed as a display system for multiple purposes, but the VRotica HS is designed for 1 thing, simple VR porn usage. Not everyone has the Tech Savvy to get a Rift up and running.

If you can offer a simple device that does it all with less than 4 buttons, people will buy it.

I wouldn't buy a big screen tv and be told it can only broadcast the news channel ! So that's a bad point.
It is wireless, good point, but the big hitters are working on that and that's a game changer. However, people with no access to a pc or upgrades, this will be a go to option. :tu
It' s specs don't come close to Rift or Vive and by the time one registers with the adult sites and bought their fill, they could have afforded the upgrade to a gaming headset ! :eek: So maybe offer the cheaper headsets at £70 that can play up to 720p content. On a small headset and phone vr, that is decent, according to reports !
No more arguing from me, i am passionate about technology and do my bit in developing and designing games and tech, i just hate this type of thing coming onto the market that will only sell handfuls and are basically a con/gimmick from the world of sleaze...um adult entertainment !

I do think it’s a good unit for the price, truly do appreciate all the feed back though. I don’t have the technical experience, I have to say when I tested the VRotica I have to say it is pretty good, turn it on and away you go !!

PS need to send you some photos of the Air Hostess DS uniform I now have in stock, the neck scarf, hat, jacket (which is really nice), skirt, blouse stockings and shoes. It really is lovely Waspie :)
