View Full Version : Dottie's Hip Operation.
Incred and I replaced a broken hip on my 2006 Realdoll "Dottie". We used a stainless steel hip that was custom manufactured specifically for this purpose.
We tossed her up on the Bar, and scrubbed in "Nurse Ceilidh" to administer the pain killer.

Nurse Ceilidh assured Dottie not to worry, then buried the needle in her leg... Knocking Dottie out... cold.

Never trust a redhead with a needle...
Here is the culprit...

Since the crotch had torn from the result of the hip break, we decided on the "Outside the Box" repair method. Versus cutting down the outside leg seam.
We exposed the joint but making the tear longer with smooth razor cuts.
It was fairly easy for Incred to remove the old joint while I took pics and cracked lame jokes.

The joint is completly removed. The silicone on the leg has torn open some more.

The pivot is attached to the leg.

Incred holds a complete joint.

Some incredibly well detailed images there Camp. Always a crying shame when something like this happens, but at least Dottie's op has a happy ending with a masterful job.:)
