Good work Sam, just one hiccup on my loading my albums, once the pics are in can you move them around if they;re out of sequence:confused:

Samurai
14-01-2012, 06:31 PM
In a word No, you would need to start again and upload them in the order you want, it is best to start with the last photo first.

So if you had 5 photos you wanted to upload in sequence then you would upload in this order 54321, then when you finnish and have a look at your album the order you see them in would be 12345.

Hope this helps. :)

Ps thanks for the thanks guy's :D

Untill my next trick

Managed to do all the above ...thanks Sam.

One question, when posting pics is it possible to reduce the size in the thread ?

Other forums you can do this ;

then photo link

this does not work here ,is there any other way of doing this please as some of my posted pics come out very large ?

I always put my pics through paint shop pro and resize them to 800 max before adding to an album on here.

On some other forums that seem to use the same format as this, there seems to be facility to add a photo or jpeg direct from a file on your computer without having to create it in an album. Has this ever been thought of for here?

Yeah you can do the same here, click the paperclip (attachments) icon. Stick within the limits given in the pop up window, choose file from computer and upload. Once you've uploaded close the attachment pop up window and click the little arrow next to the paperclip and click you're file, the attachment will magically appear in the reply box like this screen shot:

No easy answer Amy...

I'd tell your fella to get you a friend first... Then when he starts taking more photo's of you both, tell him to get a decent camera rather than relying on a mobile phone.

Then... tell him to get a PC...

Then tell him to get you a Lamborghini...

... and some Wagon Wheels...

Mmm, wagon wheels. Can me and Allie share some please. Then when my friend arrives maybe Sarah Lou could join us with some toboerone, I like them.

I use a PC to edit my photos. You can get a reasonable decent cheap software to do it which will crop and resize images. I use Serif Photo plus as you only have to put in one figure for the image size and click on the box with that size. It will then calculate the correct size for the other dimension of the image. IE: put in 800 for a landscape portrait and it will reduce the other dimension so it will be a 800x600 image.

From a mobile click choose file

http://www.uklovedollforums.co.uk/forum/picture.php?albumid=3102&pictureid=79904

Then files or whatever it's called on your phone

http://www.uklovedollforums.co.uk/forum/picture.php?albumid=3102&pictureid=79902

Then select the picture u want from an album and click upload pictures

http://www.uklovedollforums.co.uk/forum/picture.php?albumid=3102&pictureid=79903

Ive done two as an example so you can see one that uploads and one that doesn't.
If it works you'll see the picture and if it fails you'll get an error message so you'll need to resize it.

http://www.uklovedollforums.co.uk/forum/picture.php?albumid=3102&pictureid=79905

My rule is if it's over 1mb it won't upload. I'll let someone else explain horizontal and vertical axis's as it's too much for my brain to comprehend

PDutus

I resize mine in Paint to 1200 pixels along the longer axis before uploading them. Size is well within 1 Mb.

To be honest I use imgbb mostly with been on many forums and then post it in a medium link so it's sensibly viewable, however, I also reduce the image down to 800 pixels long side too, that's because it works best on all forums and devices without scrolling all over the place to view and sits good on the screen.

It is also worth noting that when posting any image of a doll on a forum it must fit within the rules and more often than not if it ain't satisfying uk vendors or border force it should not be posted or any off site links made. ( sorry, but be very careful what is been posted)

Virtually all the photos I post are taken with my mobile, currently an iPhone XS Max which has a great portrait mode.
