Pris has had a nasty tear in her foot for some time now. I tried repairing it once with some silicone but it didnt last long. Been putting it off but as I got a repair kit from Abyss a few weeks ago I thought it was about time to try again.
Some of the following pictures are not for the squeemish.

Thanks so much for posting this - very interesting. Are pins like this better than a sellotape bandage? Is she a tin or platinum?

Best wishes and hope the anaesthetic wears off soon

Thanks Harem. Pris is platinum silicone and personally I find needles less messy than bandages. The foot looks fine this morning perhaps a little cosmetic colouring later.

Looks like a nasty tear. Good to hear it's healed up well.

Nice job Phil, though i should have read "Some of the following pictures are not for the squeemish" before viewing the pic's as it looks painfull, still if it works then it will be worth it.

Sam.. :)

Thanks guys.
The clear silicone glue is for large repairs as in the foot. For smaller jobs theres a 2 parter that you mix together.

First I smeared some of the mixture over Pris' repaired foot.
Its not perfect but much better than the nasty gash.

Next I applied it to the hole around her neck ring. Not very pretty but her hair will hide it.

Finaly the smaller tears in her hands which I'd tried to repair with silicone before.

Still tacky

Then I applied some powdered foundation makeup to tone down the shine.

After.

Again far from perfect but an improvement bon the open cuts.

A very difficult op . . .

I found with Aira's foot that the sellotape didn't stick other than to itself upon wrapping around but that it left a smooth surface which has been very successful. But in contrast to the very difficult and fragmented cuts here, hers was a smooth cut.

Best wishes and thanks for sharing

Eeek! Indeed not for the squeamish ... poor Pris. It just goes to show though that our dolls are no different to us - after a while bits keep packing up or falling off and regular maintenance is required. You're handling it well mate. She'll need a good period of convalescence though, you know the routine, pampering, chocolates and champagne :D.
