Six years later I thought this could have a seasonal BUMP...

Midnight arrived with Breanna in my arms and hugs and kisses all round, following this was a time-honoured tradition of singing Auld Lang Syne...of course I can't sing at all so I left it to the girls, hope you enjoy!

Music is here if ya want it....

Lyrics, well we'll leave the girls to lead you through the song(disclaimer - most of the choruses(or should that be chori, like cacti or octopi:confused:) have been left out coz of too much repetition)

Nice one, revoL! The song even has a (not very literal) translation to German and is pretty well known, though not for the turn of the year. I heard it was spread by the scout movement.

When Scotland is mentioned like naturally bagpipes come into my mind, and I recently came across these guys (on Youtube only) and liked their music:

Have a good year, cu cuddly and Lian

You extracted mine already.
Actually, I want to thank for all these great threads in the Old Kemble Theatre. Problem: too many.
Then only a particular one.
Many years ago, I used the music of Auld Lang Syne to congratulate my most beloved aunt with her birthday. She will have no birthdays any more. The song is still a cup of kindness to me.

That's just about the perfect new year thread. Beautifully thought through and executed it really brought a big smile to the start of 2015.

PS the rippled reflections in the canoe pic were superb.

Ohh, I can't take credit for the rippled reflections, they were from the two people originally in the canoe before my girls plush-bounced them out:D

This picture actually took most work....

http://www.uklovedollforums.co.uk/forum/picture.php?albumid=1803&pictureid=37168

Due to lack of space I photoed two girls at a time, had to cut them out to put in the pic, create shadows for them and add the daisies to their hair(BTW, all four daisies are the same one but tweaked differently for the necessary angles;))

Zang - Yes, Willow being an expert on Xmas would have been the perfect one to ask :wall Cynthia seemed to think he was an old and very tall man called Syne(Old long Syne:D).

I would just like to say a big THANK YOU for all of your comments and I can sit back and relax in the knowledge that I've spread new year smiles around the forum:tu

Miss Willow tells me that Auld Lang Syne is a poem written by Robert Burns in 1788. It translates to "Old long since" or "Long, Long Ago"
