Edit old posts
 

I may of missed a notification, but how come I can't edit old posts, I use to be able to edit all my posts that I made on threads.

Glad it's not just me! I can't either.

As many folks on here have since discovered, a lot of threads and posts have been ruined or lost from here over the last year in a regrettable agreement for change of ownership and now to stabilise the Forum all posts, as on TDF and most major forums, are left open for a short period to allow edit then locked as there should be no need to edit after that.

If anyone does feel the need to want something edited please just ask any Mod and we'll try and oblige.

Ah that makes sense, I understand. At least I know I can just ask to have a post changed / updated.

It's a system that retains consistency whilst allowing flexibility when needed:tu I've come across it in the past on a forum for a different subject where someone had a hissy fit at the forum moderators and instead of discussing his issue he just deleted every post he ever made, which ruined the flow of the threads:mad:
