Thanks Minato, they didn't turn out quite as I'd expected. I was hoping to get more or the background in but had to up the brightness to get Kayla properly exposed. That said however, I think this works better. All rather atmospheric and floaty :)

Hi Saxen, Congratulations on getting your own Exlite.

I do appreciate the compliments, but please don't let my pics stop you from posting your own. I started out taking pics of Kayla on my tablet and have only just invested in a DSLR. Mine are heavily edited and stylised as i am trying to improve my own artistic skills, but if the truth be told, i much prefer to see and follow the threads from those that post more life like and natural shots.

So please click away and post when you can, besides, the exlite is so frickin gorgeous, it really is difficult to take a bad photo of her.

For what it's worth, the best advise I can offer, would be to spend some time trying out different poses and camera angles when you take photos. Look at images you like on the net and try and recreate the same composition. It really does help bring her to life. If you look through this thread, you'll see the poses that have worked for me.

Yep, I'm pretty pleased with it myself. I got the wings by complete chance. I saw them for sale on FB the day after I got back from the Doll Meet. They were a complete bargin and so much better quality than the mass produced ones you can find on ebay. They are a meter long and were hand made with real feathers.

As soon as I got the wings I started planning the outfit for the shoot. It took a couple of weeks to get it right. I had originally planned on her wearing a white bra and a feathered skirt, but the bra didnt really suit the elven look, and the skirt wasnt all that sexy. I got lucky with her thong............. I was just going to have her wear a pair of skimpy knickers, but found the feather head piece in amongst my other charity shop finds and it worked perfectly with the necklace from Primark.

This won't be the last you'll see of this outfit, that's for sure :drool

I've got a few snaps from a couple of weeks ago, so maybe I'll start a thread and post some of those up this week :) Rest assured they won't be arty or tweaked in photoshop, that would involve more interaction with computers than I find comfortable! :no:
