Top Sino?

Hi, I was considering buying my first Doll from Lucid.. But now have changed my mind, based on the warnings here and think I'll probably go with one of the tried and trusted sellers - like CC. Though I've not had a reply to my questions from them a week ago..
Anyway my question here is to anyone that owns or has info on the Top Sino Dolls - although expensive I like the extra level of detail these dolls seem to have. Is the extra cost justified? if the longevity of the doll is still only a few years? Also does anyone know how long the skin detailing actually lasts - the veins and imperfections etc I mean. Thanks

I feel really sorry for you here, not one reply, PDutus may have some information regarding Top-Sino, when he's onsite, I believe he follows the brand. I don't follow them enough to have any really useful input, I have met one in person, spent most of my time playing with her feet.
I'll ask around and send you a PM if nobody comes back with any information.:tu

I don't have a Top Sino, but do have a "normal" sinodoll. She's just over 2 years old now. As dolls, they're very soft for full silicone and use a silicone foam inner core (rather than hard foam cores like most) - this makes them softer all over than most silicone dolls, but heavier. It's worth considering - from my experience, the build quality in terms of joints and skeleton has been really good.

In terms of the hyper real paint, I can't say how durable it is as I don't personally own a top sino. I have heard the body paint can rub off over time. The faces look amazing though, and I'm not sure how accurate the concerns about wear I've heard are as lots of people say stuff that's not entirely true, or just don't treat their dolls that well!

Contact Phil at The-Doll-House.com, he's another of our recommended vendors. He brought a Top Sino along to the last Meet.

He'll be happy to answer questions I'm sure :)

Despite your misgivings about your first-choice company, I was asked to investigate a complaint against them and found the complaint groundless. As any prospective purchaser can, I was able to go to their premises in Oxford and look at what they were doing, how they were doing it, their very extensive selection of ready-to-buy dolls and their quality checking process. Many purchasers have been happy purchasers as many more will be in the future, I'm sure.

Phil at The Doll House is brilliant and very genuine.

The standard Sino doll is very good

I don't know the Top Sino but many people's experience is that surface painting for ultra realism has to be either on harder silicone or it wears off. If you want a doll for photography then the ultra real might be great but if you want one for sex ordinary Sino is excellent as is Elsa Babe, Sanhui, OR and Zelex.

At the top of the range, XYcolo also and I have a Gynoid awaiting a timeslot to review but the Gynoid needs particular precautions and care not to damage her.

Best wishes

Thanks! - I was beginning to think my questions were not not well written.. I've had a few replies from Phil at TDH, who is helping my decisions.

That's good to know - regarding the layered Silicone, I decided Silicone was preferable to TPE a while ago as it seems to be harder wearing and less likely to stain. Also I can rule out the hundreds of TPE dolls that are hard to choose between..
Yes a silicone face has that added realism that is a must have for me now, and an Asian face also narrows my choice down a bit.
I'll take a look at standard Sino Dolls too. :tu

Hi Harem,
I've been following all the talk about Lucid for nearly a year now and would have visited them also if I'd been nearer. They sell my benchmark Doll so far - being the YouQu Silicone doll. Lucid replied reassuring me that the YouQU dolls they sell are New and not seconds.. If only CC or TDH sold this brand I'd have bought one already. Though the 6 to 9 week waiting time is putting me off a bit, whereas I could have a doll in a few days with Lucid.

I'm determined to get it right first time though with whatever doll I finally choose, as it's a one time only purchase, and my 2 to 3k max budget has to be well spent.

One little 'niggle' with all dolls is that there is no warranty with any of them - no matter what the price. That's where the tried and trusted sellers would hopefully be a reassurance, if my chosen doll developed a problem.
Regards
Morgan
