For what it's worth I use a
Canon EOS 700D and edit all my pics on a samsung tablet. I originally ediited all my pics using the tablet's built in editting tool, but after the doll meet, I had so many photos that I took out a monthly subscription to Lightroom CC which provides more editting features and huge cloud storage. Well worth it for only £5.99/month.
A digital SLR offers so much more than an old school film SLR. It took a while to understand all the settings, but you've got so many willing models to practice with, it won't take long till you get the hang of it
