I don't understand why Sinthetics don't just give you your money back. I can understand them holding the order for YOU, that's good business sense. But they know you no longer want it. If they have such a long order book and they're operating at peak capacity then they're making all the money they want to (or are able to), and more recent orders than yours are going to be higher priced therefore more profitable, so it's in their interest to free up that slot for better profit.

To answer your implied question, they don't because they don't have to. The cost of a legal action on my part to get my money is more than the amount to recover ($2000). In the meantime, I follow 'other' English language forums (fora?). Based on what I see, Sinthetics' business is moribund and, even if they wanted to give me a refund, it is doubtful they have the cash flow to do so.

Begs the obvious question then.

I doubt it would cost $2000 to threaten them with such action... Maybe worth a punt?

I believe that in America the cost of a small claim between $1500 and $5000 is $50 ($30 if below $1500).

I could be wrong but I dont think Sinthetics are(were) in a country where western legal wranglings matter very much to them.....

I stand to be corrected but their contact details are in Los Angeles. They refer to themselves as an artists studio making bespoke creations rather than a fatory. https://sinthetiks.com/about-us/ |

Mechadoll was never in Russia. First USA, then France, then back to USA and after that I lost trace.
