Default The self isolation help group

Okay, some people will be thinking, got dolls, don't need anything more but not all on here have a doll or some folks who have ladies want a bit more that they are missing.

This virus is not going to go away by Easter despite what Donald Trump wishes ( avoiding politics ) so we're all in it for the long haul.

So what else is there, what are you doing that's not doll related? Any ideas or interests that don't involve going out just post it here. Anything, everything, thoughts, funny or sad, anything that's making you or your lady anxious, just throw it in here. Likewise if you need help or advice, here and if people can help they will.

If you want to just post anything that's doll related or even not, just post it.

We are all just a car crash, a diagnosis, an unexpected phone call, a newfound love,
or a broken heart away from becoming a completely different person.

What? Chocolate eggs won't cure the virus?

Cheers Wulfie. Entertaining the masses challenge accepted

p.s. love the mix of laurel and hardy with Gene Genie (Bowie). This thread could end up somewhere between the music thread and comedy central.

great call matey, I'll take the daily inspiring video that captures the human spirit to face seemingly insurmountable odds. or roughly translated. Gamer Music Video's (there may be Elves!)

All the best,

Shamus

What about setting up a Discord channel for the members here? Obviously the chat or typed convos could be about anything at all, not just doll-talk. Areas within could be set up for jokes, free chat, ideas and hobbies etc etc.

I recently had a chat with a guy who is stuck in Taiwan, I only know the username he joined with so anonymity is guaranteed

EDIT: My mistake, this thread is to be used for the same purpose, I was thinking this was just a call for ideas and Discord seemed like a good one.

if love for one of our girls had a theme tune. this I think may be it...

We lived in another time and place

I know your name
I know your face
Your touch and grace
All of time cannot erase...

works better in the video.

enjoy.

Told you that here would be Elves

A lot (but not all) of the video's are final fantasy and there are subtle links to Ready Player One.

Hope that it inspires you to fight on through. If not, more to follow

(Going for the inspiring stuff up front).

Formatting a 50,000 word novel to publishing industry standard.
Also, working on a cover design for another novel.

Here's one sketch I'm working on:

Remember folks, you've seen it here, first!

I'm also taking the time to chop up into different sized squares a fleece blanket. Then sewing the edges. Makes for great smear removing cleaning cloths for glass; monitors; phone screens; spectacles etc.

Thinking about it, I really need to tidy the place up. Clean the kitchen and bathroom. Use the vacuum... Yeah, I think I'll watch a movie and get through a bowl of popcorn with Vicky, when I've had enough of swearing at Microsoft Word.

Default Helping others...

In a bit of a quandary. Yesterday I was out for my daily walk round the local streets when, on the opposite side of the road, I spotted an elderly couple. The old lady slipped and fell (not badly) and the old man then struggled to help her up.
Ordinarily, in such a situation, I'd go straight over and offer to help but, in self-distancing mode, I paused, unsure of what to do. I was not so worried about myself, but if I had approached them, would that have perhaps panicked them (given they were older and more vulnerable)?
In the end, I slowed my pace, hanging back to see if he could get her back on her feet. Fortunately he did and they continued on their way. I guess if he hadn't managed it, I would have approached and offered help from the requisite two metres. But it left me pondering...
