Default Deleting photos from albums

If a photo is deleted from an album would the photo still show in any post it was used in?

The link to the photo is still active but when you click the link you will receive a message like:
Error
The selected album/file does not exist!

Removing photos from albums will ruin any threads they're in unless CTs made a change. He's the best guy to ask.
