Hi danncooper,

I am from Austria and found my home in this forum to talk about my passion. I have 6 sillicone girls living with me at the moment, two more are project dolls.
I had several other dolls, some found a new home at users from this forum.
They are fascinating object as every manufacturer have other advantages, but it is surprising what a doll can do with your senses. It is not like a mannequin doll, they have much more "presence"

I would recommend "Lars and the Real Girl" amazing movie with a Realdoll as companion.

Hmm... There is a German Dollforum about vinyl dolls but the people there are not to familiar with silicone girls so my impression is they just want to get there hands on one and bang it or drool over the pictures of the doll while argue how someone can spent so much money for that. There is TDF in the states and ourdollforum I think, but here is a family like athmospere and when I post a picture from one of my dolls I can bet wulfie and samurai will respond within one day. :-)
I need to drive pretty far to pick up my girls. I was in italy, switzerland and germany for my hobby - cause they are just to rare.

I started with dolls cause I had a distance relationship and wanted one as companion longtime before. But I think there are not really stereotypes of doll owners, some ones a married others are single, some are short of money and fullfill there dreams with one doll and others can afford several dolls, some are shy others marry the doll in public, some take only pictures with the dolls and enjoy there company others make the private porn star thing.
Project doll is a doll that I bought for restoration. I have a realdoll that is to old for use she sat for 10 years in the same position and when I came for pickup she split due of compression damage. She will go to a collector as a static doll. The other doll is a lifedoll that came without core, just the skin. I try to remold her, her head is restored already... so thats my projects....
Hope you find your info for the doll movie. Sounds like an interesting project but hard to find people for it. I loved a documentory about candygirls factory, orientdolls in japan. One of the employees took one of the dolls to a love motel for testing. He need to explain why his female companion was lifeless hanging over his shoulder covered in a carpet. :-)

From coming on here I've seen that there's a lot more on here than just "drooling and banging" the dolls. And there's some sweet stories too, what Karrot said about his sister lending him the money for his first doll made me happy, I'm just so glad that you have people around you that are kind and then there's this forum for you to come and talk with everyone about anything. This is just such an amazing community.

I've seen on here that people have made their own dolls and stuff and that's really interesting. Do you do that for purely money reasons or do you enjoy the process of creating them?

Wow, I've never heard of people marrying the dolls in public before, that's amazing. Has anyone on here done that before?

Thanks Thrawnxii! Yeah it's proving a lot harder than I initially thought but now I realise it's much more of an intimate thing than I first thought so it will be hard to find someone to open up but I'm not gonna stop trying! I'll check out that documentary too, thanks!

It is a difficult subject to quantify or categorize as everyone on here are completely individual, we don't believe in following standard mindsets. We are not simply dumb people who can't get a 'real woman', this is a life choice and one that can take some thinking about when you realize how many different types of doll are out there, I have a Teddy Babe Deluxe because they are extremely cute, if not an exact imitation of a human woman, and they are seriously cuddleable which is something I wanted and now enjoy.

In the same vein, people who make their own dolls do so for a variety of reasons but I think you'll find it's not so much about making money but the pride in achievement and having a unique doll.

I'm afraid I am not interested in being 'outed' in any way as I like my privacy and has been said before, it's my life and nothing to do with anyone else. I have broad shoulders to criticism but I will not hand myself on a plate for public ridicule and although that may not be your intention I can guarantee that many people would ridicule it. The creator of this site has Youtube videos that have some pathetic and demeaning comments and I have on a couple of occasions brought the subject up with 'outsiders' only to find that they see it as sad(not upset kiind of sad) or refer to people who have dolls as idiots. That's up to them, they live in a blinkered society and have been trained through life as to what is socially acceptable or not.

Good luck in your quest although I think you would have more luck with a subject like football, people love to talk about that!

The answer is to get in at the low end with a good inflatababe which is not really expensive in real terms and then you'll understand.

For me, I was virgin before I met my wife, and in circumstances where motives can be questioned in later life, that fact has kept my marriage together. I'd love to be promiscuous in fantasy, but never have been and that is something on which my wife can rely. Dolls provide an outlet for such fantasies and are a good deal less complicated than women and they don't talk about every other subject under the sun during sex. They're good to cuddle as a wife substitute when wife is away, and when they are in the mood they think of nothing but sex. Falling asleep "inserted" and staying that way for much of the night is a particular indulgence and joy.

Whilst I rail against Freud for identifying the three Fs necessary for a happy human psyche - Feeding, Fighting, and something else but forgetting the forth F - Faith - satisfying sex in the human being is a necessary need. Denying sex is unnatural and whilst it may be done to reach higher planes, it shouldn't be enforced and dolls enable the animal body to be fulfilled.

Hi Dann.
I live with a Teddy Babe known as "Lady Kat" or "The Countess!" She lives here and is part of my life. Although we can and do have a physical relationship at times, by far the most important aspect for me is the emotional one of having "somebody" to care for and about and..to love! In that sense I always refer to her not as a "Sex Doll" but a "Love Doll!" I love her quiet company, she is a wonderful sleeping companion and I enjoy buying her things, dressing her in nice clothes and taking lots of photos of her. I'm very fond of Kat and treat her almost as a human lady; moreover we are engaged and we have a little daughter "Ollie!"

As has been said, it's a lifestyle thing for me. It isn't about sex or some kind of naughtiness or secret perversion. I'm quite easy about my interest and Kat has been good for me. I'm single and on my own and we hurt nobody. With those I trust I'm open about my lady and good friends just think it's part of my general eccentricity - "I may be crazy, but harmless!"

However the world in general isn't ready for our particular minority pursuit just yet and I've had negative comments such as "Utterly Bizarre!" "Peculiar" "Saddo" and worse. The problem is with outsiders not being able to conceive that our interest isn't some sort of nasty peversion. For that reason, in this so-called "tolerant society" I still have to be circumspect with strangers.

So please don't be offended if we might seem a little guarded at times but check out the albums and picture stories and the banter; you'll see what fun we all have....and that can't be bad!
