Default Unique dolls

Has anyone from the UK bought from them?

Were there any issues, good or bad?

Is it better to import directly, or have an agency here check things over, this side of HM Customs, and then forward the doll to the customer?

I bought my Yvette from beautiful dolls back in 2014 before there were any UK vendors doing the job for us. My understanding is that there is some close link between Beautiful dolls and Unique dolls. They are both legit, not fly by nights and you do get the doll that you order... Well, sort of, there was a mistake with Yvette but she's a genuine WM... Just 10cm taller than the one that I thought that I was getting, lol. (She was already en route to Europe when I bought her (she was destined to be a display model in Poland). If I had ordered a doll to be made I would have got exactly what I ordered. As I say they are trustworthy).

All of them accept PayPal and payment in sterling now so no more messing around with Western union money transfers, needing to pay in dollars and getting stung with lousy exchange rates.

However, if you order direct you are likely to be hit with import charges which you would need to factor into a direct comparison on price, where ordering from a vendor the price you see is the price that you will pay and for any small variance in price the reassurance that you have a UK vendor able to argue your case when some jobsworth claims the doll fails some criteria for entry.

Personally I would go through a UK vendor. If the doll is not marketed here then contact the vendor who deals with that manufacturer and ask why not. Often it is simply a matter that there are too many doll variants available to list them all and the vendor will get you the girl that you want.

Which one are you looking at Alistaire?

HTH,

Shamus.

I personally quite like these sort of dolls (prefer the anime to the realistic myself), I think that Zang's is a little different to this but in principle its similar. Love the way that the cloth used makes it look as though its a person in a body suit.
Be aware though that not all silicone is the same and the heads will not be made of the same stuff as the platinum cured high end dolls (assuming that it is silicone).

Looks as though Joy is selling these slightly cheaper than Annie at the moment.

You may be able to get Annie to do a price match.

All the best,

Shamus.

I like the anime ones too, do you think they would make it through customs?

165 cm tall with C cups minimum. You'd hope so.

It might be an idea to skip the Japanese school uniform though.

Many thanks

Noticed that too. Border Force would still be involved though and with the better head being seperate it shoves the cost up somewhat. To add insult to injury their delivery time is nearly six weeks!

I wonder about approaching my friendly, neighbourhood doll vendor.

Hi my happy doll head is a little firm but kissable
She arrived in a box approx 24"x18" in the foetal position, if you do decide to aquire one of these dolls pay attention to hip/leg rotation when first 'unfolding' her to avoid damage.
