I got my doll from them and it's fine, no damage, got exactly what I ordered.
The CS was good too, they sent me pics of a few heads and comparisons of skin tones (the head I wanted was a different brand from the body) and made sure I was getting what I wanted before they sent it out. I didn't leave a review but if I did there'd be no reason not to give them 5 stars.

This was before they started charging for pics, but I don't think that's unreasonable, they knock the charge off the price of a doll as far as I'm aware so if you're serious about buying a doll from them it's a non-issue. They stock a lot of dolls now so chances are they'll have something you'll like if the first pics aren't what you expected. It's obviously not going to be economical for them to spend all day unpacking dolls and taking pics and I bet they got a lot of time wasters before they started charging.

Trustpilot on the other hand, are a waste of sand...you shouldn't base any purchasing decision on what Trustpilot says. Reviews can, and often are, bought from companies who specialise in that sort of thing (I'm not suggesting Lucid do/did this, the mere fact it's possible negates the usefulness of Trustpilot and others like them though). A company with a 1.5 rating probably is indeed terrible, but a company with a 4.8 is just as likely to be crap, so it's worthless. They exist purely because there are people who do not know that, it's really that simple.

Imagine any remote seller not having good images of the actual product they sell....

Then a potential customer has to pay to get them ?

No, nowhere does that make good business practise. They should already have the photos available. It's not like it's a mars bar you're buying.

Hi,

Actually, 99% of sellers use photos provided by the manufacturer. The drop shippers simply don't have the budget to hire a photographer, rent a room, buy clothes, and dolls (which can get damaged during photoshoots) or cover the cost of photo editing.

Sam, the export sales manager (who is also a shareholder) of JinSan, made a deal with some photographers to get items for free as long as they took photos. This is the only reason they have great photos.

Other manufacturers, such as Irontech, have also caught on and have started getting their customers to take photos as well.

Sadly, the honest truth is that as the largest distributor in Europe, we have trouble getting photos from our clients.

We have one photographer who has been hired (an extremely kind person) to help us with photos. Due to the compensation and his personal workload, he struggles to handle the volume of work we have.

Of course, we provide free photos of dolls we have sold as photo copies.

Perhaps the forum members can forward their photos to us, and we can try to list the girls with those photos?

I have 4 bodies that have been purchased from Lucid. I certainly would consider forwarding photos for use by you so potential buyers can see real doll images. However, a reasonable discount incentive on future doll purchases would be nice.
