The only time I have found the neck joint truly visible is when your gal is flat on her back and your standing at her feet looking up,course depending on what your gal is wearing your eyes might never make it up to her chin. but for the most part the neck line in not visible even from different angles.......

even for extreme closeups.....

How the head fixes in place depends on the doll. I believe that Kimber has a screw-on head, while others (like mine) have a quick release where the head slots on and lifts off again, making it easy to swap heads if you so desire. Lucidtoys does extra heads from about £210 I think, just make sure the skin tone matches.

Have to say i wouldnt want a doll with a fixed head. You get used to it after a while. I take their heads off to dress them. I hang them up to oil and powder them. Their head goes on a stand to do the make up. If i have to any surgery i dont want them watching and when the body is unfixable they get a new body but with the same head.

THIS.... Absolutely this.

Its not even when the body is unfixable. The A team here get their choice of the best available and cast aside perfectly good servicable bodies for better one's.

Its all about the heads... It's always about the heads

Welcome to the forum. My XY Doll has a silicone head on a TPE body. The inside of her head is a bigger diameter than the neck which leaves a gap big enough to get my fingers in. Only really visible if you are looking from the floor upwards if she is standing. More noticeable round the back because if you look from the front you can't actually see her head cos her tits are in the way.

I've always assumed its because the 2 materials dont really get on with each other if left touching for a prolonged ammount of time.

Locoman. A detachable head will make it considerably easier when dressing/undressing the doll and will facilitate easier maintenance. The other question that you need to consider is weight. Do not underestimate this. There are a number of people on the forum who have had to sell their newly acquired doll because she is just too heavy to handle. Good luck!

Totally The personality of a doll develops and it's all in the head, eyes etc. If the body became damaged you can switch it for a new body (which I'm in the process of doing for one of mine), but if the head is fixed and you have to eventually say goodbye because the body is in such a poor state it would be unbearable.
