Unboxing Dream Doll Creation Hermaphrodia Custom

Hi,

in our series of Unboxing posts, I'll add today a rather exotic doll: a Hermaphrodia Custom by French company Dream Doll Creation. Hermaphrodites are bisexual creatures that have as well male as female attributes. They exist in mythology, but also in reality (cf. Wikipedia article Intersex). However, the DDC hermaphrodite is more on the fantasy side as it is basically a busty woman with an added penis.

But not the doll itself is the only thing unusal. The differences start with the packaging. Opposed to other expensive life-sized silicone dolls, the hermaphrodite doesn't come with excentric packaging or a wooden crate. Quite the opposite: It's very plain carton on a pallet:



Also, the carton isn't delivered by a normal shipping company like DHL Express or Fedex, but comes with a specialized transport agency. This choice results in a purchsing experience that is not very nice: There is no tracking; you don't know then the package will be delivered; you don't know who will deliver it; and the driver doesn't help to carry the package inside the building - these transport agencies don't do door to door shipping, they deliver to the curbstone and not an inch further. Bad luck it it's raining or snowing - the driver will just leave you on the sidewalk with a heavy box strapped onto a pallet. I never experienced something like this with any of the normal courier service - they will always help you to get the package inside your house.

The second "WTF" moment occurred when we had the box carried into the building, cut the straps and opened the carton: The doll was laying on her head with the butt on top. Since the manufacturer straps the carton onto the pallet, it's safe to assume that they shipped the doll intentionally this way. Why they do it like this, I have no clue. The whole weight of the doll - around 38 kg - rests on her neck as long as she is packaged in the box.



There is not much padding - no blanket and no protective foam layers like used from the Chinese dolls. If something would pierce the walls of this carton, it would go right into the doll. This kind of packaging is hardly suitable for a €5000+ doll.



The doll itself is wrapped into cling film, and it is clothed. Well, yes, and she is still laying on her head.

Let's take her out of the box… hell, she is heavy. It's not easy to lift her out of the carton without help.

Unlike most other tall dolls, the head is attached during transport. Even the wig is on her head, so she looks quite tousled after traveling:



The skin tone chosen for this doll was "brazilian/brown/more yellow"

What else is in the box? Actually not much. There is a plastic bag with the printed "care guide", the detached cocks, an adapter to screw into the doll's tummy, and a hook to hang the doll.



More about these accessories later.

Here's a more detailed shot of this area:



The hole above the labia is carved into the silicone. Below the silicone layer you can see the opening where the penis adapter is screwed into a small metal plate. On the left, you can see a realistically molded vagina that is glued onto the rest of the body.

The silicone used for the body is quite hard, comparable with the silicone used by Doll Sweet until 2013 and harder than the silicone used in nowadys silicone baking forms. So it's a very strange decision to mold the labiae separately, but still use a hard silicone for the vagina. The looks are OK, but it dosn't feel great.

That's the adapter used to attach the penis to the hermaphrodite:



On top of the labiae, there are slight tears where the labiae are glued into the vaginal opening. Remember, this is a doll fresh from the factory that has never been used!

The doll comes with two cocks be default. This is the small one:

Both cocks are circumsized and don't have balls. Physiologically this could be considered correct as the male testicles develop from the labiae, if I remember my biology class correctly. However, a cock without balls looks somehow incomplete - it's more a penis-shaped dildo than a penis.

The sizes of the cocks are 16 and 18 cm (length) and 4 respectively 5 cm diameter.

Now let's take a close look at the Tania head. It's the same you would get with a "Custom" doll by DDC. This one was configured with yellow skin tone, brown eyes, and long blonde hair. Dreamdoll's hermaphrodite always comes with a female head.



There are six heads to choose from (Chléa, Julia, Maeva, Soria, Swan, and Tania).

The eyes area:



The eye brows are not painted, but applied with silicone in a light brown color. The eye lashes seem to be inserted into the silicone and feel rather robust.

The mouth:



Nicely shaped contour with permanent makeup applied. The teeth are made of silicone and have a yellow color, like teeth of a heavy smoker.

The mouth is supposed to be capable of oral sex, but the mouth area is as hard as the vagina. The jaw has a bone structure below the silicone, but the lower jaw is not moveable.

The head is fixed to the body, so it can not be removed:



When you decide for a head when configuring your doll, this decision will be permanent. There is no way no replace the head at a later time with a different type. The head is glued onto the body which leaves visible seamlines.

However, all dolls with removeables heads have more prominent gaps between the neck and the head.

The ears are not part of the mold. They are molded separately and glued onto the head:



That leaves more seamlines, and some glue is visible like on the labiae.

The view from the side shows that the Dreamdoll heads have edgy chins.



On top of the head, the hook is screwed into the middle of the head. That allows to hang the doll onto a stand. Though, the hook is quite massive, so the doll can not wear a regular wig as long as she hangs on the stand. That would require an eye bolt in the neck, as used by Maidlee Doll, or a thinner hanging mechanism, as used by Doll Sweet.



The Tania head clearly resembles a female, but it has a masculine appearance as well.

The Dreamdoll hermaphrodite is not a toy doll with a big head on a small body, it's quite the opposite - a rather small head on a big body. With the huge breasts that might look a bit out of proportions.

Now let's have a look at some details.

The hands are well shaped and feel very robust:



These hands are totally different from the way they are made in China. Hands and wrists by WM/OR/YL doll are way more fragile than the Dreamdoll hands.

Finger nails are painted with permanent silicone pigments, not glued on:



The nails look a bit coarse, but they can not fall off or break. All fingers are separated and can be posed to some degree.

Toes and toe nails are desinged similarily:



Toe nails are painted with permanent silicone pigments and not glued on; all toes are separated (Doll Sweet has only the big toes separated).

The foot looks good and feels very robust. It's surprising that not even with this built the doll can stand on her own feet without tearing the silicone.

This image shows the foot after powdering with corn starch. When powdering this doll I discovered that it doesn't react well to corn starch. Opposed to other current silicone dolls, the powder doesn't spread evenly on the doll's skin but remains visible (enlarge the left side of the image to get a view how the powder looks on the DDS silicone).

There are a couple of manufacturing flaws as well.

Here's a big hole on the surface of the buttocks:



This is probably caused by silicone that was not properly evacuated. However, this hole doesn't look like a typical air bubble that burst open.

More air enclosures are on top of the head. Lots of small air bubbles:



Smaller air enclosures can be found around the eyes as well.

For this doll, a 30% breast enlargement to 36E/80E was chosen.

That's a closeup of the attachment for hook:



It looks like rather robust, but it's hard to tell if this connector is capable to hang the doll for weeks or months.

Considering the price of this doll - her base price starts at €5000 - my first impression is very ambivalent. The doll is very robust and has some details that are exceptionally well done, but the has other details that are not so great as well. I was very puzzled how much air bubbles were enclosed in this doll; this shouldn't happen when the silicone is evacuated properly, and I would just expect that from a €5000 doll.

The makup applied by Dreamdoll is a matter of taste; some will like it, other might prefer the more elegant looks from the dolls made in China. I think that permanent pigments instead of glued on finger nails have a lot of practical advantages, but I know also that many customers request "real" finger and toe nails.

This doll weights about 38-39 kg (with cock attached and including a breast enlargement), so she is not very eassy to handle. For cleaning she has to be carried to the bathroom as there is no insert, so to make your life easier you might want to consider using a pulley - or a femidom. I don't think that an average woman can handle a doll with this weight, so this hermaphrodite might be targeted to the gay/transgender community.

Personally I'd have no interest in the penis attachment. . . but regardless that's all useful DD info.

I'd always assumed all dreamdolls have a movable lower jaw? Or is it only certain heads have that? I recall seeing a video of a Chlea original and it showed a posable/movable jaw.

Also, I'm quite shocked seeing the way they ship these dolls! That's just far too risky and seems totally ridiculous considering the dolls value! MD used to do that years ago.. the words bloody stupid come to mind.

I'd also assumed these dolls would be softer, by the sounds of it they're not as soft a one might like.
