My account is (should be private) hopefully you are seeing the photo below.

Yep! I see your photo. Thanks for the advice. I will make sure I set my account to private and the shared/posted photos to public then.

When linking a photo from IMGBB to a forum post , is there a way to regulate how large the picture will display in the post ??
I tried it, and when I previewed my post, the photo came up so huge that I had to scroll to see it all.

Picture is probably in the megabytes huge amount of pixels. I began using Imgbb, but I just use my profile now. Was it Shamus who suggested it I can't remember I think.it was though, something about using paint to resize which you can find if you search for paint.exe in program files on windows. Right click it and create a shortcut that's what I did when I got my laptop as I love using paint. Anyhoo if you resize your photos so they're just a few hundred kilobytes you shouldn't have any bother uploading them to your profile. Hope that helps.

Thanks Dollscience, but I have been trying to use my Macintosh desktop witch doesn't have MS paint. I tried IMBB because some of my edited photos would not upload to my forum album. Even after resizing. However now it appears that I will have to resize regardless of what platform I use. Although if I get tired of messing around, I might have to take your advice and use a different computer.
Admittedly I do have one concern about linking photos from an outside website. It's that if something should happen to my account in that website, or the website itself, It would kind of mess up some of the threads in the forum.

Edit: ps, you are right that my camera is putting out photos that are between 1 and 2.1 megabytes in size. I am not sure though, if there is a way to change that in the camera settings. I will have to look into that possibility.

That's the PC method which I don't use myself. I look in here just using my smartphone. What I do is I use the phones screenshot function to screenshot any megabyte sized pictures I've taken then I pull up Google photos and check the size. If they're too big I crop them using photos. Works every time for me. You're going to tell me you use an iPhone Lol

I like your idea of screen shot, and will try that if I can get that function working again on my computer.

I would like to use gimp but it may take some time to get it working on my computer. My operating system is too old for the latest version, but that's okay because they do offer the older one. Although it looks like I have to download each file separately to get the version that I need.

I tend to run out of patience with all this high tech stuff.

If like me, you find MS Paint too feeble or not available on your OS, and Gimp & Photoshop too complicated (and in the latter's case, too expensive), try Paint.Net and its Linux clone Pinta; they're what I use, depending on which computer is being used at the time. They have a good set of features - without requiring a degree in electrical engineering to get started I don't have a Mac and have no idea if Pinta can be compiled or run on a BSD type UNIX (which is what macOS X is, under the hood), but maybe someone who knows more about such things might be able to help.
