Tend to agree (think that he must have been hanging out with Nicolas Cage!) but think that he's done a couple post Pulp fiction that are ok... By far the best being Bandits which alright, is made by Cate Blanchette and Billy Bob Thornton.

Bandits

I suppose Red/Red2 as well but those are really bubble gum for the brain type films.

I get the impression he's not bad in any film where he's working with mega stars but it doesn't stop him saying yes to the made for TV movies that he seems to despise and it shows.

Aye, I really quite liked Guns Akimbo. And the Nix character played by Samara Weaving really turned me on for some reason

Which leads onto another movie with a skank in, who I really shouldn't like but I do, Bai Ling alongside Jason Statham in Crank 2. What an insane hoot of a movie

Some great ideas for stuff to watch here

I was routing for him to dump the girlfreind and run off with Nix... Definitely not the ending I wanted

Default Convoy 1978

And something totally different. I believe we have some truckers on this forum.

I love the movie Convoy 1978.

Kris Kristofferson is such a cool dude. I even bought his greatest hits album back in the day (I'm impartial to a little country and western.)

The theme music to Convoy is an absolute belter:

When I watch that movie, I want to be a trucker and drive my rig through police road blocks (and have a fit bird in my cab )

Takes me back to 1981 last year of primary school Convoy had made CB Radio popular. One of me schoolmates Dad was called Black Magic. We'd collect all their printed cards and swap them. 10-4 for an eyeball Black Magic to White Lady come in White Lady. The patter was rank and most of them were sleazy Dad's, but it was a good laugh the cards. And yep it's a pretty good song.

Default Cannonball Run

Possibly the best intro to any movie.
  • Lamborghini Countach - TICK!
  • Fit girls in jumpsuits - TICK!
  • Police car chase - TICK!
  • Cracking soundtrack (not just the music, the Countach too ) - DOUBLE TICK!

The rest of the movie is good fun but not brilliant, the intro though

This is a movie, book, and TV series the link is the TV series because Clooney is in it and Clooney is brilliant. Catch-22 leaves you realising just how crazy and confounding war is hence the title.

I forgot about that show, I think I stopped watching it about half way through. I've read the book probably half a dozen times, love it, and the show was very faithful. I think I just got distracted by new shinies...

I just started watching Squid Game on Netflix. It's silly and fun - S. Korean weird cutesy dystopian death games. My kind of rubbish.

Some of the visual styling reminds me a lot of Happy! (also on Netflix) which is very weird and dark and cute and nasty and again - my kind of rubbish
