Corn Dolly

I took Fay out again this evening only this time she had her dress on.



Across the lane was a cornfield (or some kind of grain, not sure which) so I sat Fay on a chair and took some more pics.





To finish off she put on her sun hat.



I think it'll be good practice for the Doll Meet in November.

Hi Ursa Major, Fay is a lovely corn dollie or should I say wheat dollie, as she is sitting in a wheat crop.


If Fay picks off a wheat head and rubs the head in her hand she will see the brown wheat, it will still be a little soft at this time, but she will see just how ripe it is, it should be very hard if it is ripe.


Love the dress and sun hat and looks like she is having an amazing time out , as you say it will be good practice for the meet, but Fay may need a coat and wool hat by then .
