Default Utensil race repair

Hi All

I have a utensil race extreme hip which is a great toy but has torn in the vagina, I think from over enthusiastic use. Does anyone have an idea what I should use to repair it and a supplier? I bought it from love honey which states it is made from silicone and contains latex.

Thanks

Stoney

hi stoney,

if it's made from sillicone then you should have no trouble repairing it

the best stuff for the job would probably be sil-poxy adhiesive from "smooth on" but you could get away with a normal clear silicone aquarium sealer or bathroom mastic

the secret is in the preperation, you must wash the piece thoroughly in soap & water to remove all traces of lube, and make sure it is 100% dry befor you start,

good luck with the repair, & if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask as I'm sure someone here will have some advice to share

Hi on silicone i use this, low price, and nice to use, it is clear all purpose flexible silicone by evo-stik, it is very highly flexible, and canbe got from most DIY shops within the UK.

I would like know the results. I thought the material of the extreme hip was a hot melt material.

Thanks

Hi Obin

The silicone did not work, I have since tried some silicone adhesive which seamed to work but came apart when used.
If you have any ideas on what to use to repair I would be greatfull to hear.

if the sillicone isn't sticking properly then I would say the same as Obin, that the thing isn't made from sillicone

easy way to test that would be to take a lighter to it & see if it melts

unfortunatly, there isn't any really effective ways of fixing hot melt products other than to re-cast them

you could try heating the edges of the split up with a hot knife or soldering iron & stick them together as they set
