I have some idea`s of how to make a good shoe link up, and the floppy dollie, i think i have all i need to make her, will post more and pics: as i start making her .

if you check out the video, you will see this this Guy has a good set up, if you view if full screen you will see that the shoe links are to the side, inside of his left leg and outside of his right leg, this mames the doll can dance much better than some i have seen.

He also has a way of linking up the doll hands not sure how he is doing this, there is more to the doll than one would think.

I remember the 1st time I saw these on one of the comedy scetch shows, there were 4 or 5 of them all done up in ballroom gear doing a syncronised ballroom dance, it was hillarious

My name is Julio, I am from capital Bogola.


There were cornfields with strawmem in them, this gave me the idea to build dolls, for the new year festival, because you burn the old year to welcome in the new one.


Then there was a Man who lived across the street with a very beautiful Woman, she was 20 years old and he was 40, the Woman had a six year old Daughter and she only stayed with the Guy because of the money and her beautiful dresses.


Eventually she fell in love with the Son of a cobbler, and ran away with him, and left all her clothes.
Her Husband was traumatized and started drinking heavily because of her, he asked me to make a doll looking like his Wife to burn it.


I built the doll with hands earrings and a painted face, then we carred it out onto the street, he said before we burn it I want to dance with her one more time.
But because he had a bad leg he moved like this, the bystanders though it was very funny.


This is when I got the idea to make a doll to dance with.
I had a disco called JR, I converted it into a brothel, this gave me a lot of trouble with my wife, and we almost broke up.


Then came the moment when I lost JR because the property was taken from me, we lost everything and ended up on the street.
My Brother took out a mortgage on his house, with it I had enough money to go to the USA.


A Guy gave me a job as a crate packer, it was the beginning of a very hard time for me and quit.
Before I lift I asked if he could give me the plastic leftovers from crate packaging, with the leftovers broomsticks inner tubes from bicycles and old foam from old mattresses, that were left on the street, I built my first doll.


I continuously work every day, and in these moments I imagine that I am in the best discotheque in colombia, and dancing with the greatest love of my life.
When I am not in the subway I work on my dolls, change there clothes and invent new ones, at the moment I have 8 dolls and I am there inventor and creator.

Right now I am working on a new doll that looks just like a real Woman, she is going to be my ultimat creation.

Hi guys and Girls,
Here is the start of my dancing shoe dollie , I hope to cut this soft mannequin in half, using a electric bread knife, I will then pull out the wire frame.


After that this mannequin is very floppy and will bend thousands of times with out breaking the soft foam.



I hope to use a plastic tube skeleton with rope and tennis ball joints, this will make her very light and fully flexible, the two halfs of the mannequin and tennis balls will be glued together with inpact adhesive, and silicone seams with skeleton inside.


I will be using rubber 26” bike cycle tubes for the arms, I have used them before, and will show how I do it, and fix the hands.


See the hand photo, I hope to use the soft mannequin hands that you see here, they are very soft and wont hurt me when they fly about well I dance with her.


I may hold her hands round me with velcro strips, that way I can make her hold around me and part her arms to dance with her.

I will be asking me Daughter to paint the face, and do the make-up.

Any of you give dance lessons , will post more as the doll is being made.

Hi Alistair, this is a very soft foam mann:, some are glsss fiber, and some plastic, however this foam mann: is the only one i found that is floppy with the frame out, and will withstand bending.

My Jodie, has the small body, and aluminium home made skeleton, but is still a floppy doll, she can do what the dancing shoe dollie can do in the first link, but i think i need to keep the doll very light,.

And yes i can dance with Jodie, but i never tried fixing her to my shoes .
