Default Adding Photos

How do I add bigger pictures instead of tiny thumbnails to my posts ?
I'm sure it will be blindingly obvious once you tell me.

The other option is to do this

Instructions for Imgbb. 'For guests'

https://imgbb.com
,

1. Click "start uploading" usually a blue tab

2. Select an image saved on your phone or computer.

3. Click "Upload" that's usually a green tab

4. Choose "BBCode full linked" from the drop down menu in the upper box.

5. Click the link provided in the lower box. This should highlight the link.

6. Click on 'copy' in the top right corner of the lower box.

7. Then paste the link into a new post you've created on the forum.

The above instructions are assuming you are a guest on imgbb, and to start with that is better.

Once a signed in user on Imgbb, I found 'BBCode full linked' produced a very large photos on the forum and selected 'BBCode medium linked' in most cases instead.

Any problems just ask.
Good luck.

Thanks for the advice Tommo.

For some reason I can't get the hang of copying and pasting URLs or BBcodes.
Never really needed to do it before.
I am not the most computer savvy, but I get by

I will just have to stick to posting thumbnails here.
I can post big pictures at TDF no probs, as they seem to have a system allowing me to place images inline.

Could that system be adopted here ?

it is quite litterally just copy the whole line and paste straight into the post.

No image links or anything.

I find it best to have two tabs open in one.
Go to your album.
Open the image you want to upload,
go to the last link on the page
Grab it (left click on link, CNTL+A, CNTL+C)
Go to the post
Paste it (CNTL+V)

You can also use the mouse buttons.

Preview the post before posting it just to make sure that everything is fine.

Using Imbbb is just as easy if you would rather take that route.

Find the image
Left click Embed codes
selected meium linked from the drop down
hover over the link and a copy button will be there
Copy then paste into the post.

Really is that easy.

I'm suspecting that your issue may be that you are still thinking that it is linked to the insert image button maybe?

kindest regards,

Shamus.

p.s. as Tommo says, just follow the steps in Sams post exactly as written.

Thanks Shamus.

I tried again and copied and pasted my album picture URL …. and got the message "upload error, invalid file" Exact same thing when trying the BBcode.

I think I'll give it a rest for today ,
before the computer goes through the window
