Default Mannequins from the Swinging Sixties

Allen Jones’s creation of furniture-women.
Table Sculpture (1969), chair and 'hatstand. The first pics shows the 'artist' with his wonderful creations.

A pleasure

I will be going mid November I would think so I can revive this thread or start another as there seems to be an interest..... and Im not surprised with work like this.
I saw these when they where first exhibited a loooong time back.

Had very mixed reviews then with accusations of misogyny and the fact that to some eyes he was demeaning women.
But then does not the Venus de Milo do the same , something to ponder on, but thats called art.

I see the Venus as a tribute to womens perfection, that torso is beautiful but back to the artist, if he was a she making male mannequins the freaks would still come out from under their stones and shout misandry.
You cannot please all of the people all of the time
Yes, please revive the thread with pics if possible
