Help please cutting & pasting

OK, having crawled out of my primordial swamp, thanks to your help I've cracked pictures, now following miscellaneous advice, longer typed epistles get done in word and saved as .txt file, but I'm damned if I can get a transfer into forum using cut and paste (using right button as previously instructed). From my PC documents {Probably best to ignore this request, you don't really want to see my daft ramblings}.

Hi Jock,

I should do that more as at least Word would tell me the typo's I've made.

I do however do that when I'm writing war and peace type messages as occassionally I press send nand lose the post... Or forget to press send at all when I go off somewhere else.

Its all quite standard.

Generally I'm in the advanced editor. Don't think that should make a difference to cut and paste but probably best I mention it.

Just standard.

CNTL+A
CNTL+C
CNTL+V

Should all work fine. No need to save as text as you are just using it as a transient holding area for writing the message.

I don't imagine thats answered the question beyond letting you know that others do it and have no issue.

If I spot something that you are doing out of the ordinary as this thread progresses I'll chirp up again but at the min, not seeing that you are doing anything wrong.

All the best,

Shamus. :tu

Hey jock, let's give keyboard shortcuts a shot! (disclaimer - this is assuming you're on a desktop/laptop and it's Windows!)

Open your text file with your literary epic.
Highlight all the text - select all with the mouse or press CTRL+A on the keyboard.
Now press CTRL+C on the keyboard - this copies the text to the 'clipboard'
Open your reply window on the forum and then press CTRL+V on the keyboard - this pastes the contents of the clipboard - and this should paste your text into the window.

Hope this works for you :)

Edit: Ha, beaten to it by Shamus, I hate typing on my phone!!
