great message and very nicely conveyed Phil.

I spent my formative years growing up in a little village in Lincolnshire. There was a little old woman, mrs Padley (long gone now). She had no relatives. One day at an Easter service that we all had to trapse from the school to the church for I was stood next to the plaque honouring the first world war dead and there were over 40 Padleys from that one little village on it.
How often was that repeated across the country.
I for one wear my poppy with pride as do my grown up sons. well done for jogging readers thoughts with the timely drawing.
