The Lonely Girl
A very short story, about 15" worth..........
Demelzas spirits were as gloomy as the weather as she was left sat in the Function Room all alone except for a few tired dollys and the Capt. who was sleeping off the previous nights frolics and a shedload of Gwatkins. It rained and rained and as she stared out she daydreamed of a knight in shining armour.............. would it be Phillostine or would it be Samurai that would rescue her from the lair of the Wulf. Samurai bravely fought with Wulfie over the rescue of poor poor Taffy who was destined for a viking sendoff down the River Wye in a stolen flaming canoe but Wulfie won and made Samurai take the dolly home with him to Glasgow thus avoiding a horrible fate. But what of Demelza, nobody.......... Capt. Hmmmmmmmmm nummmmm hrmmmmmmmmmm... oooohh, sober...... don't like sober........... Demelza We've been abandoned again............. Capt. Naaaaaaaaaaaaa, you come home with me, we'll work on Wulfie, everything will turn out fine, trust me...............you'll see Well what do you want...............Barbara Cartland, Mills and Boon . |

Oh, Delmeza (Sorry if I spelt your name wrong) soooo close...
I dont know if its a good or bad thing that there was no cashpoint machine cos I was mega-tempted to give Mr. Wulf the £250 cash I had on me and hastily check my account for the remainder. SIgghhhhh! God knows how Id have got you to Jersey but, if theres a will theres a way. Im sure you,ll either find a good new partner soon or remain at the lair a little longer in good company. |

Poor Demelza, I'm sorry I don't have the necessary funds or the room for a third.

Choking back a tear and biting my lip, how could I be such a cruel heartless bastard as to not whisk such a lovely lady away to a new home. Hang in there honey, I'm sure your hero can't be far away. You never know, Wulfie might even experience a Mr Rochester style epiphany and realise he loves you.
Much as I would have loved to bring you home, it was bad enough with one new arrival on our first night back home last night trying to work out who was going to sleep where and with whom.

I'll admit that even though it's almost standing room only at my place I was tempted, especially when I was coming back from the annexe and saw her gazing out of the window.
She looks a lovely girl and I hope she finds a good home soon.

From inside the doll room she looked exactly like a real girl. That would be an amazing pose to do in a public building; so people would become curious about why she has not moved for so long. Only when they look at her from the front would they discover that she is a doll...
