I tried buying a Quick Support Rod for construction, but I have yet to deploy it successfully, except to stop a chair that ended up supporting her from sliding on a smooth floor in my last shoot!

Looking forward to the party!
Rarely need to Photoshop these days. Partly a case of camera angle so the vertical post is behind a leg. A big improvement is not to have the post between their legs.
The latest version is designed to support at the top of the legs rather than waist. A skirt can then often cover the support.

Sounds like you've got something similar to what I was hoping to do with my tool. Put it between her leg and butt to help hold it there, and with it off to the side it should have been easy to get a good camera angle to hide it.

I don't suppose you'd take a photo of the complete setup the next time you're photographing? I have a couple ideas of things that might work based on this conversation so far but I'd love to see your current working model. I really want to get into doll photography and freestanding just adds so many more options and looks so good, as you've proven quite well here!

The bunnies don't want their thread to get too mixed up with other things so I will see if i can start something like "A standing frame" thread.
