Hello
Here is the progress made with Jaynes arm mods
All going well so far just need to make a decision on the wrist joint mmm mmm choices choices..

The black stains are from the steel ball weaing itself into a powdery mush..it went in the washing machine and is still stained but the mush has gone.
I am testing a piece of memory foam against the expanded polyurethane foam just in case there may be a reaction as I would like to use the memory foam around the wrist and shoulder joints.
All for now, should have the wrist joints manufactured tomorrow with a bit of luck.

Thanks

Looking good, not that I understand any of it LOL.

Can't wait until I witness the result though.

Wouldnt haver thought you'd get a reaction between PU and Memory Foam considering MF is based on PU with additives to keep it supple.

Hello
Sadly my mums been a bit poorly but is now improving
As such my progress has been slow,a couple of days and hopefully I will be able to progress to completion

The ball has been removed.

A few completed parts

Half completed wrist joint.

Connector.

Rotating shoulder joint with bolted clamp,I made a test piece for this to clamp onto the threaded bar and it made good puchase and would not twist or pull off.Needs crimping together at the bolt holes.

Thanks

Hello
Thanks for the replies
Here is where I am at with attaching the shoulder joints.

The original bar is 8mm threaded
I am using an 8mm threaded bar toilet seat bracket for my grip test.
The tubing is from a walking frame.
Cut accordingly and crimped slowly in the vice to avoid fracturing.
2mm pilot holes then a 4mm to suit the bolt, they are medium nipped up and grip well.

I will have to make some cuts to the body foam to install these as it will be impossible otherwise, using cling wrap to hold her together for further testing after installation.

Thanks
Matt
