Default 4Woods Lower Back Problem

Something went snap in my 4Woods (again). This time it sounds like it's located in the lower back.

I don't know what it might be at the moment. I'm wondering if it's a separated joint, like what happened in one of her knees about 2 years ago. If it is, the repair should be relatively easy. If not, I might have to make a replacement part.

Does anyone have any details on the skeleton in that area, as that would help me figure out where to make the incision?

Thank you.

This may help, this is a loveable doll which allegedly used a 4woods skeleton.

If It went crack then it may be the tube.

Good luck with the repair

Thanks. The noise is in about that part of the back.

I'll have to try a few things to get a better fix on the location. I've got material to make a replacement piece. It's going to be an unpleasant job, though.

I advise you to contact 4Woods Europe or 4Woods Japan by mail. They can help you and advise you to repair your doll.

Thanks.

However, I'm a bit hesitant to do so. I contacted 4Woods when the piece holding the shoulder assemblies to the spine was broken. (She's second-hand, so I have no idea about her previous history.) The answer I received didn't help me much.

If it is a PVC section that slips over a steel assembly, like the photos indicate, I'm pretty sure I can make another one. I have items left over from the previous repair, so it's simply a matter of taking some measurements, cutting and machining the material, and then putting it back in place.

It's not going to be trivial, though, and I'm sure I'll have my share of aggravation.
