One of the reasons (not the only reason!) I still haven’t bought a doll is because of the weight of them. So many are in the 40 kg category but even at 30 kg that’s not exactly lightweight if you have a bad back like me. There are a few under 30 kg but not many to choose from as most of those don’t fit the type I am looking for as they are too small in overall height and look too young (I want something that resembles a woman in her 30s not a teenager). I am interested in knowing just how light the new dolls could be but I am guessing that if they are silicone and have additional weight saving technology then the price may become another factor preventing purchase.

The one I see on this site is a 163cm at 31kg, late 20s/early 30s..busty
Most companies have only just started reduced weight so hopefully it gets better and more common..
Could be the fact most early dolls were shorter Asian looking thus weight didn't really get too much but as Western girls taller and bigger busts arrived the weight became an issue.

I know just what you mean, I am not so keen on the typical young looking skinny with big boobs shape which most mainstream dolls are. I like the more mature / chubby / plus size body shape but the few dolls that are made like that are crazy heavy. If there was a genuine "plus size" gal of manageable weight my bank balance would be in trouble again...............
