Any help regarding head repair

Hi guys I was pushing Mandy's head back Heard a creak and the insert on the head has snapped , in total shock as the wm dolls I have don't have this problem Mandy is a Ly doll so prob sub standard compared to wm dolls

So question could I use epoxy resin to glue the bolt thread back into head or any suggestions would be much appreciated

Hi there, yeah you could go with an epoxy glue but I'd be more inclined to use JBWeld. I've used it a few times and always found it to make a very strong repair that just might work here.

Thanks Arthur can't believe it's happened mind you it is hard to move her head and pre owned but as new so guess the joints have not loosened up yet.

Another question could I use some sort of fibreglass filler to build up around the hole inside the head to make it more supportive for the nut to eventually be glued in hope that makes sense

If you take Arthurs advice on JBWeld you wont need to use any filler.

JBweld is a 2 part epoxy putty, so just fill the cavity with that and mount the nut, just dont get any in the threads or you'll have the devils job getting them clean again.

Hi Karrot, I saw your answer to djjusty69 about the plastic weld which I think I still got a head to fix so I can use that one. Another question I have put new wires into wrist joint and was going to fuse with solder but could I use the other weld djjusty put a link to. I have all wires going in but waiting to put wood etc behind as not to touch tpe. I have to slice other hand and do the same again. Any comment greatly appreciated.
