Part 1 - The Story

A long time ago on a forum not very far away...

I have been an admirer of 4Woods dolls for some time now, from seeing them on the forums but also in person at the meets. Although I wanted one, it was in the "one day I will have one of those" way. Then back in August Fred01 posted the display dolls for sale thread. I looked through the details and found one that was almost exactly what I would have chosen if I had a completely free choice. I decided to contact 4Woods and maybe make a purchase.

My initial contact got a quick reply, but subsequent enquiries were not so quick. Then I found out I had contacted them on a national holiday in France, and also the English speaking person dealing with enquiries was on holiday. Despite this they were still logging in once a day to deal with my emails, I was very happy to see this level of customer service.

I arranged payment, and once it was cleared the doll was going to be dispatched and with me 2 days later. When preparing the doll they noticed a rip in the silicone under an arm, which was repairable but would leave a scar. Despite this being an ex-display doll at a discount, they offered to make a brand new one of the same spec at no extra cost, and apologised for making me wait another 10 days. Again, very impressed with the customer care.

Finally the doll arrived, just in time for the European meet! Sadly, unpacking her I quickly discovered a problem. The area around one of the breasts had been damaged, so I emailed 4Woods about the situation.



Their response: They immediately offered to make me a new doll, and have this one picked up.. All I needed to do was call the courier and 4Woods would pay for the damaged doll to be shipped back to them, and I would get another new one. I was stunned, this was everything you would want from customer care. The bad thing was that they couldn't make it immediately, I would have to wait.

It has been three months since then, but finally she has arrived, and this time she survived the journey.
