Lipstick

What do people use for lipstick,
I tried normal lipstick sticks, but does not seem to adhere to the lips.
Is there a special stick or makeup or paint.
The factory version is good but i want a darker colour.

I'm sure you will get loads more experienced advice but what seems to work is powders,
eye-shadows and blushers etc. You can apply it with a soft fine brush and it seems to last longer if you dip the brush in baby oil rather than apply it dry.
But I'm new to this so best wait for better advice.

I've used blusher, I've used eye shadow. and whilst the lips looked good they were just not right.

Moved back to lippy after finding some cheap stuff in. I think it was home bargains, or at least one of those type of shops, which was pretty dry so worked like a crayon rather than the good stuff that seems like painting with hot wax (and looked awful on them).

The dryer lippy takes a bit of applying, basically done in short strokes rather than a single straight accross the lips. Looks very much like the stuff that they use in the factories but better.

Now, if I, who has all the finess of a chimp with anger management problems can get it on them without ending up with it all over their faces then anyone can.

Good luck,

Shamus.

Hi Shannon,

for looks it the powders and eye shadow work really well but I think that it makes the lips feel a bit like kissing cotton wool.

Now that I've gone back to lippy of course it doesn't stick to their lips in the same way and some mornings I look in the mirror and... Whoa... That had best come off before I see anyone!

I once looked in the mirror and had a perfect lipstick kiss on my cheek.

Obviously Holly had rolled against my cheek in the night but to all intent and purpose it looked as though she had given me a big kiss on the cheek in the night (Just between us I choose to believe the latter explanation than the logical one :tu).

I use powders, then apply clear lip gloss on top of it. Especially good for wet-look photo shoots.

I use eyeshadow, too. I find lipsticks to come off far too easy and smudge everywhere. But, when I have used lipstick, I loaded a small brush with it then applied.
